Singer-songwriter and actor Eric Nam is making a bold move.
At 2 p.m. today (March 3), he released his digital single “How The Fire Started” on global streaming platforms. Alongside the track, a music video teaser has dropped, with the full video set to arrive later today.
“How The Fire Started” dives into a blazing story of betrayal, powered by harder-hitting production and a cinematic, dramatic arc. With this single, Eric Nam expands his sound beyond his previous image.
The music video is built on a cinematic Western theme. At the center of a high-stakes rodeo showdown, Eric amps up the tension and flexes his acting chops. With his recent work in film and other projects, his deepened performance brings the song’s narrative to life.
Notably, the video nods to his run on the buzzed-about survival reality show “The Traitors” Season 4 on Peacock, which topped the platform’s streaming chart for four consecutive weeks and where Eric finished in third place. The clip features appearances from winner Rob Rausch, finalist Maura Higgins, and cast members Natalie Anderson, Ron Funches, and YamYam―offering a fun crossover for fans of the series.
Eric Nam previously climbed to No. 3 on the U.S. Spotify chart and No. 7 on the U.K. Spotify chart with his 2023 studio album “House on a Hill,” and reached No. 22 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, underscoring his global impact.
He has also staged a world tour of 70-plus shows across North America, Latin America, and Europe, and premiered the “House on a Hill” short film in Los Angeles, continuing to blend music and visual projects. With over 1 billion cumulative streams, Eric Nam is poised to open a new chapter with “How The Fire Started.”
