The film "The King's Warden" is on track to hit 10 million moviegoers this weekend.

According to the Korean Film Council’s box office tally on the 6th, "The King's Warden" drew 180,463 admissions nationwide on the 5th, holding the No. 1 spot. Its cumulative total stands at 9,777,915.

Roughly 230,000 admissions remain to reach the coveted 10 million mark. On the morning of the 6th―heading into its fifth weekend―the film kept its runaway lead with a real-time reservation rate topping 60%. Considering Fridays typically see 30% more traffic than weekdays, cracking 10 million today (the 6th) looks possible.

If "The King's Warden" crosses 10 million, it will be the 34th film in history to do so, and the 25th Korean film. The most recent title to join the club was "Exhuma" in 2024.

With the 10 million milestone essentially within reach, the "The King's Warden" team is preparing thank-you stage greetings and coffee truck events for fans.
