TV personality MC Ding Dong, who had paused activities after a drunk driving scandal, sparked fresh controversy after grabbing a female streamer by the hair during a live internet broadcast. The platform said it removed MC Ding Dong from the program and issued a suspension for the channel.

MC Ding Dong appeared on the “Excel Broadcast” on the live streaming platform Panda TV. While chatting with female streamers (BJs), one participant brought up his past DUI case. He responded with profanity, then grabbed the streamer’s hair and shook her. The moment aired live, and viewers could hear cast members shout, “Move the camera,” in shock.

He briefly left the set, then returned to apologize to viewers and the cast. In tears, he said, “The second I heard them say it was from two years ago, I lost my temper,” adding, “I have my own trauma from that incident. I’ll make sure this never happens again.”

The operator of the broadcast, King the Land, posted a notice: “Due to the MC’s sudden actions, a participating BJ suffered physical harm, creating a grave situation. Recognizing the severity, we immediately removed the MC from the program and initiated a station suspension.”

The female streamer who says she was assaulted wrote on an online community that she is receiving psychiatric treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and panic symptoms, and was diagnosed with injuries requiring two weeks of recovery. She added, “I have hired a lawyer and filed a complaint against MC Ding Dong for assault.”

In 2022, MC Ding Dong was arrested after driving while heavily intoxicated and fleeing despite police orders to stop. He was indicted on charges including violating the Road Traffic Act and obstructing police duties, and received a 1-year-6-month prison sentence suspended for 2 years. He halted broadcast activities afterward, recently returned as a pre-show MC, and is now facing renewed backlash.
