According to Netflix’s Tudum Top 10 website on the 18th, "Boyfriend on Demand" logged 4.8 million views (total viewing hours divided by runtime) and 47.8 million viewing hours, landing at No. 1 on the Non-English TV chart worldwide.
The series also entered the Top 10 in 47 countries and regions, including Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Venezuela, and Vietnam―proof of its surging global buzz.
Domestic buzz is strong, too. In Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex for the second week of March, the show ranked No. 1 for overall TV-OTT drama buzz for two consecutive weeks. In the cast buzz rankings, JISOO placed No. 1 and Seo In-guk took No. 2.
Celebrating "Boyfriend on Demand"’s global No. 1, Netflix unveiled a batch of unreleased stills. The new images spotlight the many sides of Mirae (JISOO), Gyeong-nam (Seo In-guk), and Gu Young-il (Seo In-guk).

JISOO and Seo In-guk sell the chemistry―from bickering coworkers who can’t stop noticing each other to a sweet office romance―making Mirae and Gyeong-nam’s story feel relatable and swoon-worthy. Their grounded take on love pulls a fantasy setup―“a subscription service for virtual dating”―into real emotions, boosting immersion. JISOO’s versatile charm and Seo In-guk’s flawless dual role are key to the show’s appeal.

The drama also captures Mirae’s dates with her virtual boyfriends. Special cameos that flesh out "Boyfriend on Demand"’s world have been a hot topic. Seo Kang-jun plays Eun-ho, a campus heartthrob who “distorts” first love memories, delivering peak romance. Lee Soo-hyuk embodies Si-woo, a chaebol third-generation lead ripped from a webtoon, with tailor-made precision. Kim Sung-cheol, as ex-boyfriend Se-jun, brings tender, aching emotions. Lee Jae-wook, as a doctor with a tough exterior and soft heart, wins viewers over, while Lee Hyun-wook’s judge exudes intelligence and gentlemanly charm. Kim Young-dae’s Joseon-era character leaves a short but powerful impact. Ong Seong-wu, Modern tarzan, Moo Jin-sung, Jay Park, and Lee Sang-yi also add momentum, keeping attention and love for "Boyfriend on Demand" going strong.
"Boyfriend on Demand" is a romantic comedy about Seo Mirae, a webtoon PD worn out by real life, who subscribes to and experiences romance through a virtual dating simulation. All 10 episodes dropped on Netflix on the 6th.
