"Kill." Park Bo-young Turns Dark Over 150 Billion Won in Gold Bars as Disney+ Drops 'Goldland' Main Trailer
GoldlandThe main trailer for Disney+ original series ‘Goldland’―Park Bo-young’s first dive into the crime genre―has arrived.

‘Goldland’ is a survival thriller about Kim Hee-joo (Park Bo-young), who gets her hands on a smuggling ring’s 150 billion won in gold bars. In a chaos of greed and betrayal, she fights to keep all the gold for herself. The newly released main trailer opens with Park Bo-young’s voiceover, then barrels into the raw desire awakened by the gold and the fierce clashes between the players―instantly grabbing attention.

Kim Hee-joo, a customs officer who longed for a normal life, agrees to a favor from her boyfriend, airline co-pilot Lee Do-kyung (Lee Hyun-wook). She lets the smugglers’ coffin slip through security and gets sucked into a massive illegal gold-smuggling case. Neither the ring nor Lee Do-kyung knows what’s inside, but once Hee-joo confirms the gold, the desire she never knew she had surges up―and she steps onto a path she can’t walk back from. Meanwhile, Park, a ruthless executive in the organization (Lee Kwang-soo), launches a merciless hunt for Hee-joo after she steals the coffin, setting up a breathless chase.

To keep the gold and survive, Hee-joo finally picks up a gun. She points it at Woo-gi (Kim Sung-cheol), the first person to catch on to the stash. Woo-gi, a loan company employee with ties to her childhood, sidles up to her and pitches a partnership―but his whiplash moves between alliance and betrayal dial up the tension. Then corrupt cop Kim Jin-man (Kim Hee-won), who’s in bed with the Hotel Casino Goldland, joins forces with Park. As more players learn about the 150 billion won in gold, their greed and interests collide, and a deadly game of shifting teamwork and double-crosses begins.

“Why can’t I have it if it doesn’t belong to anyone?” Hee-joo’s line lays bare her dangerous choice and sends the tension spiking. And when Park Bo-young utters, “Kill,” her eyes turn ice-cold―delivering a jolt as Hee-joo commits to a point of no return.

As desire consumes each character, this tangle of greed and betrayal promises edge-of-your-seat suspense and amps up curiosity for ‘Goldland.’ With Park Bo-young, Kim Sung-cheol, Lee Hyun-wook, Kim Hee-won, Moon Jung-hee, and Lee Kwang-soo revealing the raw faces of different ambitions, the tight character play and intense performances pose one perilous question: If 150 billion won in gold fell into your lap by chance, what would you choose?

Disney+’s original series ‘Goldland’ premieres Wednesday, April 29, with Episodes 1-2, then drops two new episodes weekly for a total of 10 episodes.
