Park Ji-hoon's 'The King's Warden' Is 330,000 Tickets Shy of 16 Million, Stays No. 1 in Week 9

The film "The King's Warden" held the No. 1 spot at the box office in its ninth week, with 16 million admissions now within reach.

According to the Korean Film Council’s box office database on the 31st, "The King's Warden" drew 60,602 moviegoers nationwide on the 30th, keeping its grip on No. 1. Its cumulative admissions stand at 15,676,534. That’s about 330,000 short of the 16 million milestone.

"The King's Warden" currently ranks No. 3 on the all-time box office chart in Korea. It’s now eyeing No. 2, "Extreme Job" (16,264,944 admissions). The film is expected to surpass 16 million around this weekend and could challenge the No. 2 spot as early as next week.

Meanwhile, "Project Hail Mary" placed second for the day with 42,581 admissions, bringing its cumulative total to 1,193,275.
