Broadcaster Jung Young-jin shared a playful reaction after getting an unexpected shout-out as BTS member JIMIN’s “favorite show.”
In the Netflix documentary "BTS: THE RETURN," released alongside BTS’s comeback, fans see a slice of JIMIN’s everyday life. Instead of a flashy stage, he’s at home, ordering delivery and watching videos while he eats.
During the scene, the science content "Gwahageul Boda" appears on screen, instantly turning into a “world star shout-out” moment. The episode JIMIN watched was uploaded about two years ago, hosted by Jung Young-jin with Prof. Kang In-uk as a guest. As JIMIN eats Chinese food in the documentary, the voices of Jung and Prof. Kang can be heard in the background.
“I always listen to this when I eat or sleep. It’s so fun,” JIMIN says, showing his love for the show.

Those on the receiving end of the shout-out responded with humor. Jung told SBS Entertainment News, “Feels like I’ve done everything I need to in this life. If JIMIN invites me to his house, I’m already worrying about how I’d even say no,” he joked.
On his YouTube channel "Jangreuman Yeouido," Jung introduced himself by saying, “I am BTS’s JIMIN’s idol,” then added, “If you attack me, BTS won’t just sit back. I’m not an ordinary person, so treat me well. Don’t handle me carelessly anymore,” drawing laughs with his tongue-in-cheek “self-upgrade.”
Kyung Hee University history professor Kang In-uk was just as stunned. On social media, he wrote, “Friends around me―and even a junior from Boston―reached out. I ended up appearing by voice before I knew it.” He added, “I can’t believe I appeared on a world star’s program. I’ve been in a great mood all day.”
The content JIMIN watched is also trending again. The video has surpassed 6 million views, and comments like “I came because it’s the video JIMIN watches” and “The one JIMIN said he watches while eating and before bed” show global fans flocking to it.
Meanwhile, "BTS: THE RETURN" follows BTS’s comeback journey after their military hiatus and has been met with a passionate response from viewers worldwide right after release.
