"Grumpy Romance" follows a role-reversal office romance set at a camping and outdoor brand. Impeccable CEO Na Jeongseok (played by Park Hyung-sik) suddenly comes face-to-face with his former military superior, Woo Ami (played by Park Gyu-young), who joins the company as a rookie employee.
Jeongseok used to be timid and struggled to adapt to army life. Now, he’s a hands-on leader who built a thriving camping business from the ground up. Ami was once a fearless Special Forces ace nicknamed “viper.” After discharge, she’s determined to carve out a new career in civilian life. The two, once senior and junior in uniform, reunite as CEO and new hire―and everything flips on its head.
Park Hyung-sik is set to capture viewers by bringing warmth and wit to Jeongseok’s past-versus-present contrast. Park Gyu-young will portray newcomer Woo Ami―who lands at her former junior’s company―with a mix of strength and charm, teasing a fresh side of her.
"Grumpy Romance" is directed by Nam Sung-woo ("My Lovely Liar," "My Roommate Is a Gumiho") and written by Kim Hana ("Heartbeat," "My Secret Romance").
