He continued, “I plan to keep spending time with you as TEN of NCT and WayV, and at the same time, I’m beginning a new challenge as a solo artist.” He added, “Debuting in 2016 as NCT U and meeting you through activities with NCT and WayV filled my life with precious, happy memories.”

He also wrote, “I left Thailand at a young age and came to Korea, and there were many unfamiliar and scary moments. But the SM Entertainment staff sincerely took care of me and were always on my side. Above all, I’m here because fans stood by me through everything. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

On the 6th, SM Entertainment stated, “After in-depth discussions with TEN about his future activities, we decided to end his exclusive contract as of April 8.” TEN is expected to continue group activities. SM added, “We will coordinate so that TEN can participate in future activities for WayV and NCT.”

They continued, “We are grateful to TEN, who has shown outstanding talent in both group and solo activities since debut, and we support his new start,” adding, “We will continue to support the activities of the WayV members.”

TEN debuted in 2016 with NCT U’s digital single "The 7th Sense," and later promoted as a member of WayV and SuperM, building a global fandom. In WayV, he has been an all-rounder, spanning main dancer, vocalist, and rapper.
