BTS member JUNGKOOK made snacks for staff, according to a newly shared story.
In a recent WIRED interview segment titled “Answering the Most-Asked Questions,” the members highlighted JUNGKOOK’s classic “Golden Maknae” side and shared behind-the-scenes moments.
When asked where he learned to cook, JUNGKOOK said, “I learned knife skills in the military,” adding, “I like doing things on my own. I enjoy cooking while watching videos.”
JUNGKOOK enlisted as an active-duty Army soldier in December 2023, completed basic training with the 5th Infantry Division, and has served as a cook in an artillery brigade. JIMIN recalled, “JUNGKOOK’s hands were often bleeding from all the cooking.”
SUGA shared, “Not long ago, JUNGKOOK made 200 Dujjonku (short for ‘Dubai Jjondeuk Cookie,’ Dubai-style chewy cookie) on set.” JIN added, “He also brought 200 not too long ago.” When some members said they hadn’t gotten to try “JUNGKOOK’s Dujjonku,” JUNGKOOK replied, “I’m planning to make more tonight,” showing his warm care for the team.
J-HOPE said, “He makes pasta and cooks really well,” and V noted, “He cooked for us a lot at home,” spotlighting JUNGKOOK as the group’s go-to cook in daily life.
They also touched on JUNGKOOK’s nickname, “Golden Maknae.” When JUNGKOOK asked why he’s called that, J-HOPE explained, “Because he’s good at everything―an all-around member.” RM added, “It’s a nickname from debut days, and even his prenatal dream was about gold,” drawing laughs.
