
BTS just proved their global power all over again, landing a massive second week on the Billboard Hot 100 with tracks from their fifth studio album "ARIRANG."
According to Billboard’s latest rankings dated April 11 (local time), title track "SWIM" holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100. It debuted at No. 1 last week and remains near the top, showing both staying power and broad buzz.
In a standout feat, 10 songs from the album entered the Hot 100 at once. Alongside "SWIM," "Body to Body" (No. 42),
"Hooligan" (No. 64), "NORMAL" (No. 73), "FYA" (No. 74), "2.0" (No. 75), "Aliens" (No. 84), "Like Animals" (No. 90), "they don't know 'bout us" (No. 94), and "Merry Go Round" (No. 96) all made the cut.
BTS also topped several other key charts for a second straight week, including the Artist 100, Digital Song Sales, Top Album Sales, and the Billboard 200. Notably, holding No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks marks a first for a Korean act.
Right after "SWIM" hit No. 1 on the Hot 100, the group shared on a live fan stream, “We crashed asleep and woke up to total chaos,” offering a candid reaction. As their first album since completing military service, the milestone carries special meaning for the members.
"ARIRANG" is their first new full-length in about three years and nine months. It dives deep into universal emotions. "SWIM" delivers a message about pushing forward through life’s hardships. RM took a leading role in the songwriting, adding a personal touch.
