VIVIZ Cut Ties with Big Planet Made Over Unpaid Payments: "Our Manager Even Used Their Own Money"
VIVIZ
VIVIZ have notified Big Planet Made Entertainment that they are terminating their exclusive contract, and the detailed reasons are now coming to light.

According to their legal representative, Shinwon Law Firm (LLC), “We notified the agency of contract termination due to its breach of payment obligations for payments, failure to provide management support, and the resulting breakdown of trust.” As a result, the exclusive contract was lawfully terminated and became void as of March 4.

This goes beyond a routine contract dispute and raises questions about the agency’s basic ability to operate.

Per the legal team, the agency paid the last settlement due in November 2025 about a month late―and has not paid any payments since. Despite repeated inquiries, the only response the artists received was “We’ll pay soon,” with no actual payment made. In January, the planned release of their new album (EP06) was unilaterally canceled, and both domestic and overseas fan meetings scheduled for the same period were also scrapped.

The on-site situation was even more serious. With the agency unable to cover basic costs, their manager reportedly had to use personal funds to keep operations running.

VIVIZ stated, “We tried to endure the delayed payments, but we couldn’t continue after seeing staff around us take the hit. The agency has lost the intent and ability to properly support our activities, and the trust that underpins the contract has completely collapsed,” explaining why they moved to terminate the deal.

Notably, VIVIZ still kept their promises to fans even after the contract ended. Their legal rep shared, “After March 4, they had no contractual duty to perform, but out of respect for fans, they completed all scheduled activities through the end of March. They sincerely hope to continue together as one team going forward.”

When news first broke on the 19th of last month that VIVIZ had notified Big Planet Made of termination, the agency said, “No final conclusion has been reached, and we are doing our best to ensure the artists’ normal activities.”

Meanwhile, Big Planet Made Entertainment has recently seen multiple artists, including Lee Seung-gi, terminate their contracts, fueling concerns about its internal operations. On the 3rd, police reportedly searched and seized materials at an entertainment company in Seoul’s Gangnam District led by Chairman Cha Ga-won. Cha is facing fraud allegations for proposing joint ventures using the intellectual property (IP) of artists under the label, taking advance payments, and then failing to carry out the projects.
