Premiering Wednesday, April 22 on SBS, the new Wed-Thu drama "Sold Out on You" (written by Jin Seung-hee, directed by Ahn Jong-yeon) follows perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo-seop) and “sold-out-or-bust” home shopping host Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin) as their lives get tangled day and night. Kim Beom plays Seo Eric, the executive vice president of the global skincare brand “Lettoal,” forming one corner of the romance.
“People around me kept recommending I try a romantic comedy, and I’m grateful I get to meet you through 'Sold Out on You',” Kim Beom shared. “It’s my first time tackling a rom-com, but filming was a lot of fun. I think I’ll be able to show a different side of myself.”
Picking “honesty” as Seo Eric’s standout trait, Kim Beom explained, “When I read the script, I felt drawn to how Eric is very honest and proactive about his feelings, yet not childish or selfish―he’s considerate of the other person. I also wanted to portray his multi-dimensional sides as an actor.”

As a business partner harboring a long-time crush on Dam Ye-jin, Seo Eric goes all-in with straightforward flirting. Having grown up reading his family’s moods, he becomes more self-directed after meeting her. “Because that change stems from Ye-jin, I focused less on just my character’s emotions and more on putting the other person first,” Kim Beom said. “Eric’s signature move is clear emotional expression―gentle enough not to create a sense of burden, guilt, or pressure, yet precise in conveying his heart.”
On co-star Chae Won-bin, he added, “She has this bright energy that lifts everyone on set. Thanks to her, I found a lot of help in bringing Eric to life. She also has a wide range of expression, so acting together was fun and enjoyable.”
He concluded, “Our director, writer, and everyone on set―staff and actors alike―poured in pure passion. The people who gathered are a perfect fit for the story 'Sold Out on You' wants to tell, so I believe we’ve made an even better project.”
"Sold Out on You", featuring Kim Beom’s straight-to-the-heart romance, premieres Wednesday, April 22 at 9 p.m.
