Premiering on the 21st on SBS, the new series "Food Spoiler" follows true taste chasers as they crisscross the country. Drawing on their own experiences and precise cooking know-how, they become self-proclaimed “taste spoilers,” revealing the hidden secrets behind great flavor.
Chef Choi Kang-rok, a two-time winner of a cooking survival program, and Michelin one-star chef Kim Do-yoon will weigh in as flavor experts with refined perspectives on food. Adding to the mix is Defconn, long known as a celebrity gourmand, who will deepen the show’s candid food talk.
What sets this program apart is its focus on the “source of flavor,” not just famous eateries. The team hunts down limited-time, limited-place dishes you can only meet in specific seasons and spots―from mountains and seas rich with local ingredients, to farmhouse tables brimming with home cooking, to romantic markets and the hidden kitchens of low-key culinary masters.
They’ll also unveil chefs’ top-secret locations that have never been shared before, digging even deeper into “taste” and “gourmet culture” to deliver the thrill of “the more you know, the better it tastes.” Choi Kang-rok and Kim Do-yoon are known as ultra-introverted chefs who don’t talk much, but when it comes to flavor, insiders say their no-compromise debates got intense.
"Food Spoiler" will premiere as the follow-up to the currently airing 'Whenever Possible' on Tuesday the 21st at 9 p.m. on SBS.
