Choreographer Vata, who recently confirmed his relationship with actress Ji Ye-eun, has taken a firm stance against so-called “relationship overlap” allegations, calling them “groundless claims not even worth addressing.”

On April 15, Vata’s agency ARA stated regarding rumors that spread through online communities, “We have refrained from responding as the claims were not worth addressing, but as unverified posts have been reported without filtering, we want to make it clear that they are completely false.”

They continued, “The claim that he was in a six-year relationship is also untrue, and the timeline regarding his recent relationship and breakup dates back to three years ago,” adding, “If the spread of baseless false information continues, we will take strong legal action at the agency level.”

Previously, on April 13, both Ji Ye-eun and Vata confirmed their relationship, stating, “The two, who had been colleagues, recently developed mutual feelings and are now seeing each other.” The two, both born in 1994, reportedly met through church and later became a couple.
However, shortly after the relationship was confirmed, a so-called “prophetic post” from an online community dating back to July of last year resurfaced and fueled controversy.

The original poster had described details about their relationship and how it developed, mentioning their “church connection” and “choreography collaborations.” As some parts aligned with real facts, the post gained credibility.

The issue arose when unverified allegations of “relationship overlap” spread as if they were true and were even picked up by the media, prompting Vata’s side to formally respond.

Meanwhile, Ji Ye-eun, a rising variety star, and Vata—leader of the dance crew WE DEM BOYZ and runner-up on "Street Man Fighter"—have both been actively working in the industry. Vata has participated in choreography for ZICO’s “New Thing” and projects involving JENNIE.
