"Love Affair" follows two people who share an unforgettable night in a foreign country. That encounter sets off a chain reaction that upends the lives of four men and women. Director Mo Wan-il, known for probing characters’ inner worlds in "The World of the Married" and "The Frog," leads the project. Writer Ha Su-jin, who penned "The Matchmakers" and "Sell Your Haunted House," is on the script.
The story begins when Ji-hoon and Hu-gyeong, who meet by chance on an unfamiliar trip, spend a dreamlike day together. Back in Korea, they know their meeting was a mistake―but the pull between them is impossible to ignore, and their once-calm lives start to fall apart.
Lee Dong-wook plays Ji-hoon, delivering a layered performance as a man torn between reason and emotion. Jeon So-nee takes on Hu-gyeong, who digs into every part of Ji-hoon’s life and drives the core of the narrative. Jung Yu-mi portrays Sun-hee, Ji-hoon’s wife, capturing delicate emotions as she confronts a shocking truth about their relationships. Rounding out the cast, Lee Jong-won appears as Dae-hee, Sun-hee’s younger brother, who becomes entangled with Hu-gyeong in an unexpected way, ratcheting up the tension.
