Disney+’s original series Gold Land is a survival thriller about Kim Hee-joo (Park Bo-young), who gets her hands on 150 billion won in gold from a smuggling ring and fights to keep it in a chaos of greed and betrayal. On the 20th, the show released stills teasing the dangerous ties between Hee-joo and everyone after the gold.
The stills preview Hee-joo’s mounting anxiety after she accidentally lands the fortune and becomes the hunted, while hinting at a web of clashing desires around her.
First up, Woo-gi (Kim Sung-cheol) is the first to realize she has the gold. He breezes in and pitches a partnership. Neither can fully trust the other, forging a cutthroat alliance where cooperation and caution go hand in hand―amping up the tension.

Her relationship with her boyfriend, Lee Do-kyung (Lee Hyun-wook), is on thin ice too. With the gold between them, tenderness and quiet tension coexist―hinting at a bond wavering between love and desire.

Meanwhile, corrupt cop Kim Jin-man (Kim Hee-won)―entangled with a violent gang―tracks the gold case and keeps Hee-joo under watch. Director Park (Lee Kwang-soo) hounds her without mercy, growing more vicious the closer he gets to the stash and tightening the pressure. Add in a love-hate dynamic with her mother, Yeo Sun-ok (Moon Jung-hee), and Hee-joo is stuck in a battlefield where she can’t trust anyone.

In a game of hunters, hiders, and backstabbers, how will it end? Disney+’s Gold Land premieres with Episodes 1 and 2 on April 29, then drops two episodes weekly for a total of 10.
