Actor Lee Jae-in is set to transform into a 'never-dated-anyone' erotic novelist.

Go For It, the production company behind the film 'Cherry Boy,' has announced the completion of its casting lineup―featuring Lee Jae-in, Kim Moo-jun, and Jang Da-a―and confirmed that filming has begun.

'Cherry Boy' tells the story of a high school girl from the countryside in Gangwon Province who secretly writes erotic novels to save money for college in Seoul. Her life changes when she meets a chic and fair-skinned male transfer student from Seoul who provides her with new inspiration.

Lee Jae-in, who has showcased versatile acting skills in works ranging from the film 'Svaha: The Sixth Finger' to 'Hi-FIVE,' and dramas such as 'Racket Boys,' 'Our Unwritten Seoul,' and 'Concrete Market,' will lead the film. She will play 'Ok-hee,' a high school student aiming to enter a creative writing program who writes erotic novels, and is expected to portray the fresh yet distinct face of youth in a three-dimensional way.

Actor Kim Moo-jun, who captured attention through dramas such as 'Dynamite Kiss,' 'Genie, Make A Wish,' and 'My Dearest,' will make his screen debut as 'Ri-hwan,' a male student who transfers from Seoul due to the aftermath of the IMF crisis and provides inspiration to 'Ok-hee.'

Additionally, Jang Da-a, who recently made her screen debut in the film 'Salmokji: Whispering Water,' will play 'Jeong-sook,' 'Ok-hee's' best friend who dreams of becoming a celebrity thanks to her stunning beauty. She is expected to add vitality to the film with her bubbly charm.

After finishing the script reading prior to the first shoot, Lee Jae-in shared her determination, saying, "The atmosphere on set was pleasant and fun from the start, so I am looking forward to creating an interesting project. I will greet you with a great film."

Kim Moo-jun stated, "I am nervous because this is my first film challenge, but I will do my best to create a good project together with the great actors and the director," while Jang Da-a expressed, "I am looking forward to seeing how the fresh and lovely story in the script will be brought to life on screen."

Director Park Hyun-chul, who is helming the project, said, "I think it will be a fresh film that we create with these young actors. I will do my best to ensure it becomes a great movie for the actors, staff, and audience members alike."

'Cherry Boy' is scheduled to begin filming on April 24.
