The film 'The King's Warden' will begin its OTT, IPTV, and cable TV VOD service with an upgraded version featuring improved tiger CGI.

This fulfills the promise made by Im Eun-jung, CEO of the production company Onda Works, who stated in an interview, "It is late, but we intend to supplement the tiger CGI. While it was difficult for the theatrical release, it seems we will be able to show the improved tiger CGI on OTT."

On the 24th, the investment and distribution company Showbox announced, "Starting Wednesday, April 29, it will be released through various online and mobile platforms including IPTV (Genie TV, Btv, U+tv), digital cable TV (Studio Choice), OTT (Wavve, Apple TV+, Coupang Play, Watcha, Google TV, YouTube, etc.), satellite broadcasting (Skylife), and web hard services."

'The King's Warden' to be released via IPTV and cable TV VOD platforms is a version with enhanced VFX (visual effects) for some scenes from the theatrical cut. It is expected that the tiger CGI, which was referred to by audiences after the release as the "ugly tiger", has been partially revised.

In addition, the film's ending credits will feature the OST 'Friend', sung by actress Jeon Mi-do, who received critical acclaim for her performance as the character Mae-hwa.

'The King's Warden' is a film that tells the story of a village head who volunteers to live in a place of exile for the sake of the village's revival, and a young former king who was deposed and exiled in 1457 at Cheongryeongpo. Following a 12-week box office run that placed it second in all-time box office history, it is writing a record-breaking success story by drawing 16.63 million viewers.
