The horror film 'Salmokji : Whispering Water' has topped the weekend box office for three consecutive weeks.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on the 27th, 'Salmokji : Whispering Water' drew 343,463 viewers nationwide from the 24th to the 26th. The cumulative number of viewers is 1,983,763.

'Salmokji : Whispering Water,' which surpassed its break-even point of 800,000 viewers just one week after its release, hit the 1 million mark nationwide in 10 days. Having held the No. 1 spot at the box office for 19 consecutive days since its release, it is now on the verge of surpassing 2 million. Despite the successive releases of new films such as the Korean movies 'Audition 109' and 'Ran 12.3,' as well as the Hollywood blockbuster 'Lee Cronin's The Mummy,' none have been able to break the momentum of 'Salmokji : Whispering Water.'

The No. 2 spot at the box office went to 'Project Hail Mary,' which drew 128,980 viewers during the same period. Its cumulative number of viewers is 2,490,900.

Meanwhile, the new releases 'Audition 109' and 'Ran 12.3,' which both premiered on the 22nd, ranked 3rd and 4th at the weekend box office, drawing 111,366 and 78,399 viewers, respectively.
