Group 82MAJOR has firmly established their presence right from the first week of their comeback.
82MAJOR released their 5th mini-album 'FEELM' on the 28th of last month and kicked off their official comeback activities by holding a fan showcase on the same day. Since then, they have successfully wrapped up their first week of promotions by appearing on major music programs, starting with Mnet's 'M Countdown', followed by KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank', MBC's 'Show! Music Core', and SBS's 'INKIGAYO'.
For this comeback, 82MAJOR enhanced the perfection of their concept by utilizing a contrast between black and white styling. They emphasized intense masculinity with black suits on 'M Countdown' and 'Show! Music Core', while showcasing a sophisticated and modern charm with white outfits on 'Music Bank' and 'INKIGAYO'. Their deepened gazes and relaxed stage presence are also key indicators of the group's mature transformation.
The title track 'Sign' is a song that blends a dreamy melody with a restrained beat, expressing the emotions of two people drawn to each other using the concept of a "signal." In particular, the repetitive 'tiki-taki-tak' section adds to the song's addictive quality and elevates the overall atmosphere. It is also significant that all members participated in the album's production, allowing 82MAJOR's unique musical color to shine through more clearly.
The performance is also drawing attention. Living up to their reputation as a "performance-type idol," they increased immersion on stage with their "wristwatch dance," staggered choreography, and performances that highlight excellent tempo control. It is noted that the practical experience they gained through their European tour and domestic and international solo concerts was naturally reflected throughout their performances.
The upward trend that began even before their comeback is also noteworthy. 82MAJOR recently proved their global influence by winning the 'Potential Overseas Group of the Year' award at the Weibo International Entertainment Awards in China. They are continuing to expand their presence across various platforms through fashion magazine pictorials, 1theK's 'Suit Dance', and other performance content.
