The boy group The Wind will continue activities as a five-member group for the time being due to health issues involving member Kim Hee-soo.
On May 6, their agency, Around Us Entertainment, announced the news of his hiatus through an official statement, saying, "Kim Hee-soo has been receiving consistent treatment at a medical facility due to recent symptoms of anxiety."
The agency explained, "We have been continuously monitoring the artist's health while continuing activities, but based on the medical staff's opinion, we have determined that he needs sufficient rest and recovery for the time being. Kim Hee-soo will temporarily halt his activities."
They added, "The Wind will proceed with activities as a five-member group excluding Kim Hee-soo for the time being. We ask for the fans' kind understanding." They further stated, "We will do our best to ensure that Kim Hee-soo can recover his health through sufficient rest and treatment."
The Wind is a six-member boy group that debuted in May 2023.
