
The cast for the Korean premiere of the musical 'Frozen' has been unveiled. Notably, comedian and creator Lee Chang-ho has been cast as the snowman Olaf, marking his first-ever musical theater performance.
According to the performing arts industry on May 7, the musical 'Frozen', which opens this August, has cast Jeong Sun-ah, Jeong Yu-ji, and Min Kyung-ah as Elsa, and Park Jin-joo, Hong Geum-bi, and Choi Ji-hye as Anna. Cha Yoon-hae and Shin Jae-beom have been cast as Kristoff, while Kim Won-bin and Hwang Gun-ha will play Hans.
'Frozen' is based on the animated film of the same name, which was the first animated movie in Korea to surpass 10 million viewers. The story follows the fantasy narrative centered on the growth and relationship of sisters Elsa and Anna, and has been a massive success on stages worldwide, including Broadway. This marks the first time the production will be performed in Korea.

Olaf, the character played by Lee Chang-ho, is a key role that lightens the mood of the show. It is a challenging part that requires not only acting and singing skills but also puppetry and movement. Lee previously gained attention through the popular content 'Musical Star' on the YouTube channel 'Bbangsongguk', where he earned the nickname 'Jirolla'.
The Korean premiere of the musical 'Frozen' is a global hit from Disney Theatrical Group, following in the footsteps of 'The Lion King' and 'Aladdin' to meet domestic audiences. The production will open at the Charlotte Theater in Seoul on August 13, and will subsequently be performed at the Dream Theatre in Busan.
