Lawyer Faces Backlash for 'Crossing the Line' After Speculating on Shinji ♥ MoonOne's Divorce Days After Wedding

A lawyer and YouTuber is facing intense criticism for what many are calling "unsolicited and crossing-the-line advice" regarding the recent marriage of Koyote member Shinji.

Controversy has erupted as the lawyer has repeatedly offered negative outlooks—even speculating on the possibility of divorce—just days after the wedding of Shinji and her husband, MoonOne. The criticism has been further fueled by remarks that appeared to promote the lawyer's own paid lectures.

Lawyer Lee Ji-hoon, who is active as a YouTuber, has uploaded four Shorts and five videos to her channel since the announcement of Shinji's marriage. The video titles included provocative phrases such as, "I'm against this marriage... No matter what, Shinji, this is too much," "5 essentials for a woman to be happy after a difficult marriage against everyone's opposition," and "Shinji, a tearful wedding | Advice from your lawyer sister."

The issue lies in the intensity of the remarks made in the videos. Regarding Shinji's husband, MoonOne, the lawyer stated, "He seems suspicious and not genuine," "I cannot trust what this person says," "I believe he deceived her on purpose," and "He will continue to lie if it benefits him." Furthermore, the lawyer added comments such as, "Shinji doesn't know what marriage is," "You shouldn't be 'raising' a younger man," and "If you're going to marry a divorcee with a child, you need to interview his ex-wife."

Criticism is particularly focused on the repeated mentions of "divorce" to a couple who had been married for only a few days. After Shinji and MoonOne held their wedding on the 2nd, the lawyer stated in videos posted on the 5th and 7th, "Marry carefully, divorce quickly," adding, "If you couldn't marry carefully, you should at least divorce quickly." She further suggested, "In Shinji's case, there are more inherent conflict factors than in other marriages," and added, "Do not hesitate to divorce if problems arise."

In response, many commented, "She didn't ask for legal consultation, so publicly speculating about divorce right after her wedding feels more like a curse than advice," and "It seems like she is projecting her own failed experiences onto someone else's marriage."

Some also took issue with the lawyer mentioning her paid lectures in the middle of the videos. She said, "You should have taken this course. It's a marriage class for the naive. It doesn't cost much," while advising people to check marital property agreements, child support, and assets. This led to accusations that she was "ultimately using someone else's marriage as material to promote paid content."

Additionally, comments such as "Pretending to be single when you're a divorcee is fraud and immature," "Divorcees approach people by lying on purpose," and "Trash reeks" have drawn criticism for generalizing specific groups and engaging in personal attacks.

Lawyer Lee Ji-hoon is also the author of the essay 'Marry Carefully, Divorce Quickly,' which is based on her own experience with divorce.
