In the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Sold Out on You' (written by Jin Seung-hee, directed by Ahn Jong-yeon), top show host Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-been) is developing a subtle chemistry with young farmer Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo Seop) amidst unexpected crises.
The two started as enemies, constantly clashing after Ye-jin visited Deokpung Village for raw material contract renewals. However, Ye-jin began to trust Matthew Lee after witnessing his sincerity in caring for his crops, and their bond deepened further after she discovered the twist that he was actually the CEO of the raw material company. In particular, when Ye-jin faced a crisis due to a product issue, Matthew Lee was the only one who believed in her despite the world's criticism, serving as the decisive moment for her to fall for him.
The spark of their romance was ignited during their life in Deokpung Village. For the struggling Ye-jin, Matthew Lee showed his ultimate caring side by preparing everything from neighborhood jogging sessions and lavender pots for mental stability to documentaries that help with deep sleep.
Most of all, Ye-jin was moved to tears by Matthew Lee’s consideration, as he had organized potential hazards in the house and even prepared socks, all out of concern for her sleepwalking symptoms. It was the result of Matthew Lee’s quiet kindness slowly seeping into Ye-jin’s heart.
Her denial of these feelings didn't last long. At the end of the last broadcast, Ye-jin sent the romance temperature soaring by surprising Matthew Lee with a confession, "I missed you," followed by a sudden kiss. Her bold, impulsive action sent viewers' heart rates through the roof.
With the two, who used to fight whenever they met, now living under the same roof, anticipation is building to see if Ye-jin’s direct approach will fully open Matthew Lee’s heart.
The next chapter of the romance between Ahn Hyo Seop and Chae Won-been continues in episode 7 of 'Sold Out on You', airing on the 13th at 9 PM.
