Comedian Kim Kyung-wook, the mastermind behind countless viral personas like Tanaka and Kim Hong-nam, has returned with a new character: a "former top actor who just started TikTok Live."
Recently, Kim Kyung-wook introduced a character named "Kang Han-bin," the lead actor of the 15-year-old drama 'The End of This Summer,' through his social media and TikTok content. The concept follows a star who, after a long hiatus, is attempting to reconnect with fans through TikTok live streaming.
Kang Han-bin’s appearance feels instantly familiar. From his perfectly styled hair and glasses to his overly dramatic, "actor-like" tone and the way he exaggeratedly reminisces about memories with fans, the character is being praised for perfectly parodying the tropes of recent celebrity live broadcasts.

In particular, the character's habit of spreading his own "good deeds" has sparked an explosive reaction.
Along with a caption stating, "The stories of good deeds by actor Kang Han-bin just keep coming," Kim Kyung-wook shared anecdotes in his video with a deadpan expression, such as, "I once lent a single Gucci sock to someone who didn't have any toilet paper in the SBS restroom. I told them, 'Keep it,' and I wonder if they still have it," or "I used to keep a box of tissues in my car just to help fans blow their noses."
The character Kang Han-bin, played by Kim Kyung-wook, claims, "I'm not asking for money; I just want to learn how the TikTok system works," and "I've only been on movie sets, so I don't know much about digital platforms." Yet, he simultaneously mentions subscriber count goals and makes bold promises, such as, "If we reach a certain number, I might even be able to do a shirtless reveal," drawing enthusiastic responses from fans.
Kim Kyung-wook has previously found success with numerous other personas, including 'Tanaka Yukio,' 'Elon Musk,' 'Kim Geon-wook,' and 'Kim Da-ro.'
