Actor Na Hyun-woo is set to return to the stage in the musical 'Dear Evan Hansen'.
'Dear Evan Hansen' is a production that densely portrays the relationships and emotions of modern society through the story of a boy who longs for connection with others amidst anxiety and isolation.
In the play, Na Hyun-woo will take on the role of 'Evan Hansen,' a timid loner who writes letters to himself every day and dreams of a wonderful day where he can truly be himself, promising a delicate and passionate performance.
Previously, during the tvN competition program 'Double Casting,' he received great acclaim for performing his own translation of the song 'Waving Through a Window' from 'Dear Evan Hansen,' a musical that had not yet been staged in Korea at the time. This casting holds special significance for the actor, as he will now be performing that very stage on a professional level.
Na Hyun-woo shared his thoughts, saying, "It is a new and moving experience to be on stage for 'Dear Evan Hansen,' a work that is so meaningful to me. I am very nervous and excited, but I am working hard to prepare so that I can show you a great performance. I ask for your continued interest and love. I look forward to meeting you at the theater. 'You will be found!'"
This production of 'Dear Evan Hansen' marks his return to the stage after 6 years, following his performance in 'Werther' in 2020.
The musical 'Dear Evan Hansen' will open on August 1 at the Chungmu Art Center Grand Theater.
