Netflix has officially announced a world tour for the animated film 'KPop Demon Hunters'.

During an upfront event held in the United States on May 14 (local time), Netflix announced that it would be hosting a 'KPop Demon Hunters' concert tour in collaboration with global concert promoter AEG Presents.

"We plan to bring the film's music, action, and K-Pop performances to life on stage," Netflix explained. This move signals their determination to grow 'KPop Demon Hunters' into a major intellectual property (IP) rather than letting it remain just a successful film.

'KPop Demon Hunters' has introduced a new trend to the global content market with its unique storytelling that combines K-Pop and Korean-inspired world-building. It has surpassed 500 million cumulative views, marking the greatest success in the history of Netflix-produced films.

The ripple effect of the music has been even more astonishing. The OST 'Golden' topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven consecutive weeks. Building on this success, the film swept major awards, including Best Animated Feature, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song at ceremonies such as the Golden Globes, the Grammys, and the Academy Awards.

While the world tour has been made official, the concert lineup and cast have not yet been announced. Attention is focused on whether EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Ray Ami, who provided the vocals for 'HUNTR/X', will participate, as well as whether the rival group 'Saja Boys' will appear.

Netflix is currently accepting registrations for an official waitlist. Detailed information, including host cities, schedules, and ticket sales, will be released sequentially starting in the second half of this year.
