The group I.O.I is making a comeback with a full-group album for the first time in approximately nine years to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
I.O.I will release their third mini-album, 'I.O.I : LOOP,' on various online music platforms at 6:00 PM today (19th), marking the beginning of their 10th-anniversary project.
This album is a sincere work that reflects on the past while capturing the present moment of I.O.I reunited. The nine members, who have grown individually, have come together to showcase their strengthened teamwork and musical capabilities.
The title track, 'Suddenly,' is a synth-pop song that delicately expresses the feelings of longing and memories that arrive without warning. SOMI participated in writing the lyrics, capturing the meaning of the time they spent together and the affection of their reconnected relationship.
The rock-based track 'IF I,' which features lyrics and composition by YEONJUNG, uses a direct band sound to unfold the relationship and narrative that has continued for 10 years like a movie. The ballad 'Then Us, Now,' written and composed by CHUNG HA, was completed as a response song that continues the sentiment of their past track, 'Downpour.'
The album also includes 'Recorded in 2016,' which garnered attention after being pre-released on the 4th. This track, which involved producer Jinyoung, is an archive recording containing the fresh voices and greetings of the members from 2016, conveying the emotions of their debut era intact.
Following the album release, I.O.I will meet fans at their solo concert, '2026 I.O.I Concert Tour : LOOP,' held at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul from the 29th to the 31st.
