In tonight's episode of SBS's 'Chefs' Secrets of K-food', viewers will see deeper, honest confessions from the chefs and a final tuna feast on Yokjido Island.
A treasure trove of untold stories will be revealed, ranging from the culinary beginnings of chefs Choi Kang-rok, Kim Do-yoon, and Jung Ho-young alongside Defconn, to their nostalgic love stories and various guest episodes. In particular, chefs Kim Do-yoon and Choi Kang-rok, who are rarely seen on variety shows, form an impromptu duet on the spot, bringing laughter to the set with their surprising vocal skills and quirky charm.
Following their previous tuna fishing trip, the four will embark on a full-scale sea fishing adventure on Yokjido Island in Tongyeong. Chef Kim Do-yoon, who has always shown immense confidence as a self-proclaimed "20-year veteran fishing master," eagerly volunteers to be a "one-day fishing instructor" for fishing novices Choi Kang-rok, Jung Ho-young, and Defconn.
However, once the fishing begins, the beginners' rods start catching fish with unexpected success. This leaves the "self-proclaimed master" Chef Kim Do-yoon visibly flustered, turning the tables on the set. Whether he can successfully restore his pride as a fishing expert is raising anticipation for the broadcast.
The grand finale of the Yokjido journey will be adorned with spectacular tuna dishes. Korea's representative chefs Choi Kang-rok, Kim Do-yoon, and Jung Ho-young will engage in a "final tuna dish" battle, showcasing their unique styles and hidden secrets. Legendary dishes featuring unexpected ingredient combinations and the chefs' signature "kicks" are set to appear one after another.
MC Defconn, experiencing a whole new world of flavors completely different from the tuna dishes he tasted before, is expected to stimulate viewers' appetites as he devours the food while constantly expressing his admiration.
Promising even greater fun in its new Friday night slot, 'Chefs' Secrets of K-food' airs tonight, May 22, at 11:10 PM.
