'COLONY' Draws 200,000 Daily Viewers on Day 7, Surpassing 2.37 Million Cumulative Admissions

The movie 'COLONY' has topped the box office for seven consecutive days.

According to the Korean Film Council's (KOFIC) integrated computer network on May 28, 'COLONY' drew 209,439 viewers nationwide on the 26th. The cumulative number of viewers stands at 2,378,524.

Having surpassed 1 million viewers in just four days and 2 million in five days of release, 'COLONY' continues its upward momentum, drawing over 200,000 daily viewers even on weekdays in its second week. It is highly expected to surpass the 3 million mark this coming weekend.

'COLONY' is a film about isolated survivors inside a sealed building during a mysterious infection outbreak, fighting against infected hosts that evolve in unpredictable ways. It is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, the mastermind behind 'Train to Busan' and 'Peninsula,' and stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyohwan, Ji Changwook, Shin Hyun-been, and Kim Shin-rok.

Meanwhile, 'Backrooms' took second place at the box office, drawing 54,107 viewers on its opening day.
