On June 9, Netflix officially confirmed the premiere date for Season 2 of "Better Late than Single" as July 7, alongside a dopamine-inducing teaser trailer.
"Better Late than Single" Season 2 is a makeover dating reality show that follows lifelong singles—who have zero dating experience but sky-high expectations—as they embark on their very first romantic journeys, inviting viewers to deeply relate and offer their own "backseat dating" advice. After receiving immense love in its first season for showing the singles navigating their first romances at their own slow, clumsy, yet pure pace, Season 2 is expected to deliver an unpredictable emotional rollercoaster and an even more intense "backseat dating mode" from the public as its key highlights.
The newly released teaser trailer promises the same signature fun, capturing the vivid, exasperated reactions of the "'Something'-Makers" (Seo In-guk, Kang Han-na, Lee Eun-ji, and Car, the garden) as they struggle with the singles' chaotic antics. The lineup of eccentric singles is bound to pique curiosity, featuring a "sweet-voiced boyfriend" type who leaves comedian Lee Eun-ji in utter shock, a "fickle idealist" whose dream partner changes daily, and an extreme "visual-obsessed" type who only cares about looks.
Unable to handle the unpredictable dating strategies of the cast, the "Something"-Makers eventually burst out with raw, unfiltered reactions, saying, "Just do whatever you want!" triggering laughter. However, as they soon notice the singles' surprising growth and unexpected romantic chemistry, they express strong confidence, shouting, "Let's go on a reward vacation!"—raising anticipation for the first-ever couples to emerge in Season 2.
The arrival of a powerful late-joining disruptor is also highly anticipated to shake up the dating show's dynamics. Upon the entrance of a new face boasting top-tier visuals and impressive credentials, the "Something"-Makers collectively marvel, "This one is different," hinting at a thrilling shake-up in the singles' tangled web of romance.
Pure due to their lack of experience and easy to root for because of their clumsiness, the lifelong singles' grand first romantic challenge in "Better Late than Single" Season 2 will be released worldwide on Netflix on Tuesday, July 7.
