Singer DARA is officially launching a long-term project showcasing her unique musical world, starting with her new single album, 'rePRISM.'
On June 9, her label ARADNAS announced, "Starting with her new single album 'rePRISM,' which will be released on June 20 at 6 p.m., DARA will sequentially present a music project showcasing two distinct colors."
This project marks the first official musical collaboration between DARA and ARADNAS. Rather than participating simply as a vocalist, DARA directly took part in the overall planning and establishing the production direction, infusing her own musical identity into the project.
Notably, DARA participated in composing a track on the single and took sole charge of writing the lyrics. Although the song title has not yet been revealed, she is set to demonstrate her capabilities as an artist by directly pouring her personal messages and emotions into the lyrics.
'rePRISM' is an album built on a band sound. It will showcase a fresh musical charm, blending lively instrumentation and a heavy sound with DARA's signature clear high notes, delicate falsetto, and crisp vocal tone.
ARADNAS explained, "'rePRISM' is a project that reveals the first color of DARA. While showcasing her stage appeal centered on her vocals and live energy, it will also serve as the starting point for her expanding musical spectrum."
Following this single, DARA is also preparing a follow-up single with a different concept. In the subsequent project, she plans to present a new direction through a different sound and performance style.
ARADNAS added, "'rePRISM' and the follow-up single are the starting points that respectively show two different colors of DARA. Through a long-term project that will eventually lead to two mini-albums expanding on each concept, and finally a full-length album that unites both directions, we plan to showcase DARA's musical spectrum step-by-step."
