While police have requested an arrest warrant for One Hundred CEO Cha Ga-won on charges of fraud in the 30 billion won range, MC Mong, who previously defended Cha publicly, continued his TikTok live broadcasts without making any statement.
On June 15, MC Mong communicated with fans through a live broadcast on his TikTok account. During the broadcast, MC Mong mentioned that he was hosting the TikTok live from outside his house. He did not express any stance regarding the news of the arrest warrant request for CEO Cha, but instead continued his broadcast by participating in "Battle Challenges," a competitive donation content on TikTok live.
Previously, the Financial Crime Investigation Team of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency requested an arrest warrant for CEO Cha Ga-won on charges of fraud under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. Cha is accused of proposing a business utilizing the intellectual property (IP) of artists under his agency to the listed company knowmerce, signing a contract, and receiving 24.2 billion won in advance payments, but failing to properly execute the business. The police are reportedly conducting the investigation with the estimated damage scale at around 30 billion won. Separately, Cha is also reportedly facing fraud charges related to a lease (jeonse) contract in the 5 billion won range.

Previously, MC Mong publicly denied allegations of overseas gambling surrounding himself through a TikTok live. During the broadcast, he mentioned CEO Cha Ga-won's uncle, "A," and celebrity "B," who had allegedly made false reports to 'PD Note,' and proceeded to expose details regarding gambling and their private lives.
Regarding CEO Cha, MC Mong defended her, saying, "In a way, Cha Ga-won is also a pitiful person," and added, "Cha Ga-won has spent around 155 billion won of her own money on the company. She ran the company with her own money without receiving any investments, only to end up being taken advantage of and even defrauded like this."
Furthermore, regarding the dispute with knowmerce where CEO Cha was sued over the 24.2 billion won in advance payments, MC Mong had previously claimed, "I also don't understand why people are framing Cha Ga-won as a fraudster."
Previously, MBC's 'PD Note' raised allegations that MC Mong used company funds for overseas gambling and received expensive watches and foreign cars as gifts from CEO Cha, but Cha's side denied all related allegations.
