In the upcoming episode of 'Kick a Goal', airing this Wednesday, June 17 at 9 PM, the lively scene of the first-ever 'Kick a Goal Sports Day' will be revealed, held in Hongseong, Chungcheongnam-do—the host city of the 2029 National Sports Festival.

Following the fierce second G-League, the coaches and players will gather in one place, dividing into the Blue Team and the White Team for a pride-staking showdown. Starting with the 100m sprint, the event promises a variety of events, including a unique handball match—a first in 'Kick a Goal' history—an 8-on-8 soccer match, and the classic sports day staple, the 8-person 9-legged race, offering even richer entertainment. Anticipation is high to see what thrilling performances these competitive athletes will deliver outside the soccer pitch.

In particular, this sports day is designed with a "retro sports day" concept that brings back childhood memories, perfectly tapping into the players' inner child from the moment they entered. With an unprecedented scale that surpasses the previous 'Goalympics,' the entire cast could not hide their excitement, saying, "It really feels like we're back at a school sports day." On one side of the venue, nostalgic games like retro lucky draws and 'ojami' (beanbag toss) games were set up, heating up the atmosphere even before the official matches began.

Notably, when a "giant carp-shaped taffy" was introduced as the first-place prize for the 'ojami' game, the players unleashed a burning competitive spirit rivaling that of the main matches, leading to an unexpectedly fierce competition that reportedly left everyone on set in stitches.

The first event to kick off the sports day in spectacular fashion is the "flower of track and field," the 100m sprint, which will determine the ultimate speed king of 'Kick a Goal'. A star-studded lineup of contenders, including Saori and Heo Kyung-hee—who have already made names for themselves as the first and second-generation 'Goalympics' sprinters—alongside Lee Yu-jeong (nicknamed "Daughter of the Wind") and Jai (nicknamed "The Emperor"), will compete, promising a relentless race right from the start.

On top of that, active track and field athlete Kim Min-ji, who participated in the preliminary demonstration race, showcased an unrivaled sprint, drawing admiration from everyone on set and raising expectations. With the fierce cheering battles between the Blue and White teams—a true highlight of any sports day—adding to the heat throughout the event, attention is focused on who will claim the throne as the ultimate sprinter of 'Kick a Goal'.

The first-ever 'Kick a Goal Sports Day,' featuring an unprecedented scale outside the soccer field, will be broadcast on 'Kick a Goal' this Wednesday, June 17 at 9 PM.
