Appearing on the YouTube channel 'Rolling Thunder' content 'Shin-Yeo-Seong' released on the 16th, Shin Ki-ru spoke about her daily life, saying, "I’m just going about my broadcast schedule and meeting friends as usual." She added, "I’ll be laughing, then suddenly cry without any context. When I cry, I lose hydration and get hungry, so I eat. Then I cry again." Shin Ki-ru lost her mother suddenly last March, and at the time, many fellow comedians, including Jo Hye-ryun, stood by her side at the funeral home.

She brought tears to viewers' eyes as she shared, "Recently, on Children's Day, I suddenly started crying. My mother used to buy me everything I asked for." She continued, "I have the biggest craving for food I've ever had in my life. I think it's because I feel so empty. I never imagined she would leave so soon, so every moment is filled with regret. When I think about it, there's nothing but regret, so I decided I shouldn't be like this and tried to focus on the good things I did for her, but I realized I hadn't done much."

In response, Lee Kyung-sil, who has an elderly mother over ninety, offered comfort, saying, "The tears fall, but the spoon still goes up. That is also sad. I used to be annoyed with myself for that, too." She consoled Shin Ki-ru by sharing, "A few years ago, I thought my mother's undergarments looked too worn out, so I bought her 12 new sets. She told me she cried her eyes out when she saw them. I think for our parents, it's not about big gestures, but just treating them well in everyday life."

On this day, Shin Ki-ru shared a variety of stories, including the tearful journey behind her success in the entertainment industry with her unique character, stories about the "seven-year itch" with her husband, her husband's diet secrets, her resolution to quit smoking, her efforts to change her comedy style, and an anecdote about a drinking session with junior comedian Lee Seon-min. She especially drew laughter when talking about her husband losing about 40kg, saying, "I think he saw me and realized, 'I shouldn't live like that.'"
