
Actress Roh Yoon-seo is set to meet global viewers through the new Netflix series 'The East Palace'.
Roh has joined the cast of the Netflix series 'The East Palace', which is scheduled for release on July 17. In this project, she is expected to create another "career-defining character" through her signature nuanced emotional expression and unwavering acting skills.
'The East Palace' follows the story of Gu-cheon, who has the ability to traverse the world of spirits, and Saeng-gang, a court lady harboring a secret, as they are summoned by the King to uncover the curse dwelling within the The East Palace. The series stars Cho Seung-woo, Nam Joohyuk, and Roh Yoon-seo.
Roh plays the role of Saeng-gang, a court lady with the ability to hear the voices of ghosts, driving the narrative of the series. Summoned by the King (played by Cho Seung-woo) to break the curse on the palace, Saeng-gang works alongside Gu-cheon (played by Nam Joohyuk), who possesses the power to slay ghosts with a sword, to investigate mysterious incidents.
It is reported that Roh has delivered a dense portrayal of Saeng-gang’s journey as she faces massive events, showcasing seamless chemistry with veteran actors like Cho Seung-woo and Nam Joohyuk.
Roh made her debut in 2022 with tvN's 'Our Blues' and gained recognition, later winning the Best New Actress award in the TV category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in tvN's 'Crash Course in Romance'. Since then, she has built her career by appearing in Netflix's 'Black Knight', 'The Frog', and tvN's 'Love Next Door'.
She has also been active in the film industry. After making her screen debut in the Netflix film '20th Century Girl', she showcased her bright and refreshing charm in the movie 'Hear Me: Our Summer'. This performance led her to win the Best New Actress award in the film category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards.
Through her role as Saeng-gang in 'The East Palace', Roh is expected to radiate a charm distinct from her previous works.
