The film 'Wild Sing' (directed by Son Jae-gon) has surpassed 1 million admissions nationwide just 18 days after its release.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on the 22nd, 'Wild Sing' attracted 133,556 viewers from the 19th to the 21st, ranking 3rd at the weekend box office.
'Wild Sing,' which premiered on the 3rd, hit the 1 million mark on the 20th, its 18th day in theaters. While the pace is somewhat slower than the pre-release buzz suggested, it is a result of the film showing late-stage momentum amidst a lineup of major domestic and international blockbusters like 'Toy Story 5' and 'COLONY'.

In particular, the passionate promotional activities of lead actor Oh Jung-se are drawing attention. Oh Jung-se dedicated himself to stage greetings and promotional events through the weekend of the third week, and he is scheduled to participate in a GV (Guest Visit) with directors Son Jae-gon, Lee Byung-hun, and Lee Won-seok in the upcoming fourth week.
Although the film's box office performance has not quite met expectations, the popularity of the song 'I Like You,' sung by Oh Jung-se, remains strong. Along with the song's popularity, the styling of the character Choi Seong-gon is also gaining traction on social media and online communities, keeping the buzz alive.
The break-even point for 'Wild Sing' is approximately 2 million viewers. It remains to be seen how much more momentum the film can build as it enters its fourth week.
