Actor Choi Kwang-je has become a father after five years of marriage.
Choi Kwang-je recently took to his social media to personally share the news of his child's birth, announcing that "Tteungeum-i (baby's nickname) has finally come into the world" on June 23.
Sharing a photo showing part of the baby's ear and face, Choi Kwang-je expressed his gratitude to his wife and his overwhelming emotions about becoming a father. He wrote, "I am so grateful and amazed by my wife, who held on so well for the past 10 months. We are still very clumsy, but we will do our best to raise our child well."
He added, "Thank you to everyone who reached out and supported us. I sincerely respect all the mothers and parenting seniors in the world. I hope all families are filled with health and happiness."
Finally, he showed his deep affection for his newborn and his wife, saying, "I love you, Tteungeum-i. I love you, So-hee."
Previously, Choi Kwang-je revealed the pregnancy last month while celebrating his heavily pregnant wife's birthday. At the time, he expressed his love, saying, "To my wife, who has consistently supported and loved me from the moment we first met, through dating, marriage, pregnancy, and up until now. Happy birthday from the bottom of my heart. I love you, So-hee."
Born in 1985, Choi Kwang-je married a non-celebrity woman in September 2021 after dating for three years.
