In the third episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated (written by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun), airing tonight, July 3, at 9:50 PM, Agent Kim (played by So Jisub) seeks out his friend Seong Han-su (played by Choi Dae-hoon) while searching for his missing daughter. The two will engage in a breathtaking cooperative action sequence against mysterious assailants.
Agent Kim Reactivated has quickly emerged as the hottest drama of the summer, recording a peak viewership rating of 18.1% after just two episodes. So Jisub has topped the list for most buzzworthy TV and OTT drama cast member, while the series itself has claimed the number one spot for TV drama buzz, dominating both ratings and popularity.
In this episode, Agent Kim’s search for his daughter leads him to his old friend Seong Han-su, with whom he once shared life-or-death experiences, signaling the full-scale launch of the "Dad Universe." In stills released ahead of the broadcast, So Jisub exudes intensity in a sharp black suit as he corners his enemies, while Choi Dae-hoon builds tension dressed in a taekwondo uniform, displaying his firm resolve.
Most notably, the "double-pistol action" of the two men standing back-to-back with their weapons drawn captures the eye with visuals reminiscent of a movie scene. The combination of Agent Kim’s unwavering decisiveness and Seong Han-su’s passionate loyalty promises to deliver a heavy-hitting, high-speed action experience unlike anything seen before.
It is reported that both actors gave their all on set, performing intense action sequences without holding back. So Jisub vividly portrays the desperation of a father, while Choi Dae-hoon embodies the loyalty of a friend willing to put his body on the line, completing a perfect "lawless middle-aged" bromance. The synergy between the two, which promises to leave a lasting impression beyond just the action, is a key point to watch in the third episode.
The production team stated, "In episode 3 of Agent Kim Reactivated, as Agent Kim and Seong Han-su reunite as a team, the 'Dad Universe' action will accelerate. The fast-paced plot, exhilarating action, and the bromance synergy between the two actors will provide viewers with a thrilling catharsis."
