Actors Hwang Jung-min and Zo In-sung shared their experiences of acting while imagining their counterparts for the first time in their careers through the film "HOPE".

Attending the press conference held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 6th, Hwang Jung-min spoke about the experience of acting while imagining aliens, saying, "This was my first time acting in this way. It must have been unfamiliar not only to me but to all of our actors. I think we put a lot of thought into maximizing our imagination."

He added, "Although there was actually nothing in front of us, the director told us about the height and gaze of the aliens. We performed with calculations that were thorough from before filming began."

Zo In-sung also remarked, "It was not an easy task to act in a state where there was nothing there," and continued, "However, what I tried not to miss was the fear Seong-gi faced and the energy to survive. I don't know if you felt it while watching the movie, but I remember focusing on the breathing to maintain this mood."

Both actors are veterans with over 20 years of acting experience, but this is their first challenge in the sci-fi genre. Furthermore, because they played characters fighting against aliens, they had to act while imagining characters completed through CGI. In the film unveiled on this day, both actors amplified the energy of the movie by expressing the sudden fear they faced and their anger toward the relentless crises with passionate acting.

"HOPE" is a story that begins when Beom-seok, the head of the Hopohang branch located in the Demilitarized Zone, hears news from local youths that a tiger has appeared, and the whole village encounters an unbelievable reality as it goes on high alert. The film will be released on July 15.
