Singer Lee Sora is breaking her seven-year hiatus, returning with a new track that captures the emotions of a midsummer night.
Lee Sora will release her new single, "Summer Breeze", on various online music platforms today at 6:00 PM. Excluding original soundtracks, this marks her first official new song in seven years since the release of "Song Request" in 2019.
"Summer Breeze" is a ballad that delicately captures the atmosphere of a summer night and the memories of love. While Lee Sora has long been loved for the melancholic sentiments of autumn and winter, she interprets the warm and refreshing essence of summer through her own unique color in this new track.
The new song began with an idea Lee Sora had while preparing for her spring concert this year: "What would it be like to sing a love song in the summer?" This led to a special collaboration with Choi Jung-hoon, the vocalist of the band Jannabi, whose musicality she had long admired.

In addition, singer-songwriter Jo Kyu-chan took charge of vocal directing, further refining Lee Sora's signature deep emotions, while Jung Ji-chan worked on the overall music production to enhance the quality of the track.
Lee Sora wrote the lyrics herself. She captured the lukewarm air of a summer night and the lingering images of love in poetic language, completing an atmosphere that feels like a scene from a movie.
"I didn't realize so much time had passed," Lee Sora said. "I am sincerely grateful to the fans who have waited for my music for such a long time without forgetting me, and to everyone who participated in this project."
As Lee Sora releases her first new song in seven years, featuring talented musicians such as Choi Jung-hoon, Jo Kyu-chan, and Jung Ji-chan, attention is focused on whether "Summer Breeze" will capture the hearts of listeners this summer.
