The films "Moana" and "THE EYES" are locked in a tight race at the weekend box office, with a gap of around 2,000 tickets.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater admissions on July 10, "Moana" recorded 39,829 admissions and "THE EYES" recorded 38,125 admissions on July 9, placing them at 1st and 2nd at the box office, respectively. The difference in audience numbers between the two films is 1,704. It is such a close race that it would not be surprising if the rankings changed today.

"Moana" reached 1st place at the box office upon its release on July 8, but its top spot is being threatened after just one day. It has not been able to generate explosive audience numbers as it failed to differentiate itself from other animated films, while "THE EYES," now in its third week of release, is showing strong staying power.
"THE EYES" surpassed 1 million total admissions on July 9, 16 days after its release, demonstrating the power of a small film.
