On the 13th, tvN announced that actor Ko Kyung-pyo will be joining existing members Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi for "The Village Barber 2," which is set to premiere this November.

tvN's "The Village Barber" is a healing variety show that captures the experience of running a special hair salon where they groom both hair and hearts. In the first season, which aired last winter, the delightful chemistry between Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Kwak Dong-yeon provided harmless laughter and deep emotional resonance through their interactions with the residents of a small rural village in Muju.

In fact, Season 1 of "The Village Barber" ranked first in its time slot across all channels for 7 consecutive weeks among tvN's key target demographic of men and women aged 20 to 49. It also topped household ratings for 6 consecutive weeks among cable and general programming channels and secured a spot in the Top 10 for non-drama buzz for 9 consecutive weeks, proving its popularity.

The global response was also enthusiastic. The program, which was released in approximately 200 countries and regions including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and Europe, received a high score of 9.5 on the global content review site IMDb, demonstrating the power of K-variety shows.

The biggest change in the newly launched "The Village Barber 2" is the appearance of new member Ko Kyung-pyo. Having already proven his worth as a "variety show gem" by mastering various programs with his pure yet quirky wit and quick work skills, curiosity is building regarding what unique presence he will display in this hair salon operation.

In particular, attention is focused on the meeting between Park Bo-gum and Ko Kyung-pyo. The two, who worked together on the drama "Naeil's Cantabile" and "Reply 1988," are well-known best friends in the entertainment industry who have maintained a close friendship for over 10 years. A key point to watch is what kind of synergy their comfortable and natural rapport, honed over many years, will bring to the program. Additionally, the unique banter that will unfold between Lee Sang-yi, who has gone from the eldest brother to the second-eldest with Ko Kyung-pyo's addition, and the new member Ko Kyung-pyo is also a point of anticipation.

"The Village Barber 2," the special hair salon operation story of three delightful men, is scheduled to premiere in November.
