J.Y. Park (54), a dance singer in his 31st year who is set to perform at this year's "Waterbomb" festival, revealed that he has reached a single-digit body fat percentage through an extreme diet.

On July 14, an interview video was released on the official "Waterbomb" YouTube channel, in which Park read and responded to comments left on his performance from last year. Ahead of this year's "Waterbomb," Park revealed that he had lowered his body fat percentage to a single digit, saying, "The biggest difference from before this Waterbomb is my body fat. It is the first time since I was 25 that I have reached a single-digit percentage. The key now is maintaining it. I will not disappoint you. I worked really hard to achieve this single-digit body fat, so I will make the most of it."

Park made a strong impression at last year's "Waterbomb" stage with a bold pink halter-neck vinyl outfit. Addressing a comment that said, "He never loses his beginner's mindset," he replied, "I am working with the mindset of a 31st-year rookie singer. I hope to remain a singer who is energetic and excited to go on stage like a rookie in your eyes." He also raised curiosity by teasing, "This year, I will appear in a new fabric fashion."

Looking ahead to his performance, Park said, "I have the highest job satisfaction. I am terrified that one day my popularity will drop and I won't be able to stand on stage. I love being a singer. Being able to entertain and comfort you in front of you makes me happy." He promised, "I will definitely show the best performance until I am 60."

Park is scheduled to perform his new summer song "WET," his first in 6 years, at "Waterbomb." He added, "Thank you so much for enjoying my performance last year," and heightened anticipation for the 2026 "Waterbomb" by saying, "Let's play even crazier and more excitingly this year."
