Kim posted a long letter on the late singer's fan cafe on the 20th titled "This time, I'll pick a day without rain and go slowly. Because..."

Starting with the greeting, "Baby, you've waited a long time, right? It's been a while since I wrote a letter," Kim expressed his enduring devotion, saying, "It's been 12 years since you left, but no matter how much time passes, if I can remember even after I die, I will remember you."

He also shared his current status of overcoming grief and did not forget to ask fans for their support. Kim reassured those who worried about him by stating, "I no longer live only in sorrow like before. It seems many people still misunderstand that I live in sadness and depression every day, but while my longing and love for my baby remain the same, you don't need to worry too much about me."

He added a poignant story about items containing memories of the two. Expressing his apologetic feelings, Kim said, "I wanted to keep the car we shared until I died, but it was scrapped after 17 years. I lent it to a friend and an accident happened," and promised, "Instead, we still have our motorcycle well after 18 years. I will cherish this until the very end."

Kim then promised a heartfelt reunion, saying, "I'll ride the motorcycle on a day without rain. Wait for me, my love. Let's see each other soon."

The late Yoo Chae-young developed a romantic relationship with Kim Joo-hwan, who was one year younger and a friend of 10 years, and they married in 2008. However, she was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer in 2013 and passed away on July 24, 2014, at the age of 41 after battling the illness.

After the late singer passed away, her husband Kim has consistently posted letters on the fan cafe every anniversary and memorial day to mourn her. During last year's anniversary as well, he expressed his heartbroken feelings, saying, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, and I'm even more sorry for staying behind alone and doing well." Amid the passage of time, internet users continue to send their condolences and support for his sincere heart, which calmly yet deeply writes down his love despite overcoming the grief.
