On the 23rd, Disney+ officially confirmed the production of its original series "Code", a highly anticipated project directed by Yu Su-min and starring actors Nam Joohyuk, Lee E-dam, Kim Euisung, and Park Hoon.
"Code" is a mystery crime thriller that unfolds when a materialistic lawyer navigating illegal and expedient methods is invited to an app called "Code" that grants wishes. Director Yu Su-min of the globally acclaimed "Weak Hero Class 1 & 2" will direct, delivering a fast-paced portrayal of the groundbreaking premise and unpredictable storyline.
In the series, Nam Joohyuk takes on an acting transformation as Yoon Tae-joo, a materialistic lawyer who dreams of becoming a partner at a top law firm. He is a character who accidentally receives an invitation to the "Code" app and plunges into a whirlpool of desire, raising expectations for another multi-dimensional performance unlike his previous works.
Following this, Lee E-dam plays Park Ji-dam, a Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office prosecutor who pursues Yoon Tae-joo to uncover the truth of the case, showcasing unique chemistry amid a tense standoff with Nam Joohyuk. Kim Euisung adds weight as Cho Chul-ho, a North Korean defector hacker who unintentionally cooperates with Yoon Tae-joo, and Park Hoon joins as Im Chang-jae, a violent crimes detective and Yoon Tae-joo's supporter, creating strong synergy.
The Disney+ original series "Code", which will sharply portray the naked face of human desire through the premise that one must handle the consequences to make wishes come true, is scheduled to be released next year.
