Chinese actor Tang Wei and South Korean film director Kim Tae-yong have welcomed a baby boy.
On the 22nd, Tang Wei posted a photo on her social media account showing all four family members holding hands. She announced the birth of her second child from the perspective of her daughter Summer, writing, "Our family of four is going on a family trip soon." Her local agency stated that the newborn second child is a boy. Tang Wei had affectionately referred to her unborn baby as "colt" during her pregnancy.
Tang Wei's pregnancy news first surfaced in April of this year when she attended a brand event in Shanghai, China. At the time, her visible baby bump drew attention.
Later, Tang Wei shared the news of her second pregnancy directly on her social media, saying, "I was really surprised and very happy," and "Everyone is looking forward to having another colt in our family."
Her second pregnancy and childbirth drew even more attention due to her age of 47 as an expectant mother. Messages of congratulations are pouring in from both the Greater China region and South Korea.
The two met as director and actor through the 2011 film "Late Autumn" and got married in July 2014. They welcomed their first daughter, Summer, in 2016. In June 2024, the film "Wonderland", directed by Kim Tae-yong and starring Tang Wei, was released.
