Yoo Hai-jin Transforms Into a Tenacious Detective in Upcoming Film 'The Assassins'

Actor Yoo Hai-jin has heralded a weighty acting transformation through the film "The Assassins".

"The Assassins" follows the tracking of suspicions and behind-the-scenes figures of the assassination of the First Lady that shocked South Korea on August 15, 1974.

Yoo Hai-jin has completed unrivaled characters in every work, crossing eras and genres. He has won deep trust from audiences through his signature grounded acting and deep emotional expression.

In this work, he takes on the role of "Cheol-gu," a senior inspector at the Jungbu Police Station who directly witnessed the scene of the First Lady's assassination, leading the center of the play by densely portraying a detective's tenacity and heavy conviction toward the truth. In particular, he is set to captivate audiences with yet another side of himself, convincingly portraying "Cheol-gu's" changes as he gradually approaches dangerous suspicions amid an event that shook the nation.

First, the image of "Cheol-gu" gazing at the chaotic scene right in the middle of Liberation Day ceremony vividly conveys the breathless tension immediately following the incident.
