According to Nielsen Korea, the final episode of "Agent Kim Reactivated" broadcast on the 25th recorded viewership ratings of 23.0% nationwide and 23.4% in the metropolitan area. Notably, peak ratings soared to 27.1%, breaking the show's personal best.
Throughout its 10-episode run, "Agent Kim Reactivated" ranked number one in its time slot across all channels while simultaneously achieving the highest viewership ratings for a miniseries in 2026. This marks the second-highest rating ever recorded for an SBS Friday-Saturday drama.
In addition, cumulative viewership during the broadcast period surpassed 25.63 million, meaning nearly half of the South Korean population tuned in to watch "Agent Kim Reactivated." These numbers truly justify its title as a national drama.
The syndrome surrounding "Agent Kim Reactivated" expanded beyond South Korea to a global scale. After topping Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart for three consecutive weeks, it surpassed 270 million cumulative viewing hours within just five weeks of release. This marks the highest viewership record ever for a TV miniseries with 12 episodes or fewer on Netflix.
Its buzzworthiness is also overwhelming. According to Good Data Corporation's FUNdex, it ranked number one in TV drama buzz for four consecutive weeks, while lead actor So Jisub and other cast members swept the upper ranks of cast buzzworthiness to drive the show's popularity.
Furthermore, the show claimed the number one spot overall in Gallup Korea's survey of "Koreans' Favorite Broadcasting and Video Programs" with a preference rating of 18.9%. This is the highest preference rating for a drama genre since the survey began in 2013, surpassing previous mega-hits such as "Reborn Rich", "Extraordinary Attorney Woo", and "The Glory".
The production team expressed their gratitude, stating, "Thanks to the passionate love from viewers who stayed with 'Agent Kim Reactivated' until the end, we were able to conclude an unforgettable journey. We hope this story, filled with laughter, action, and genuine heart for family, remains a warm memory for a long time."
Meanwhile, the universe-expanding special program "Agent Kim Reactivated the Universe," designed to soothe the disappointment of the series ending, will air at 9:50 PM on Friday the 31st and Saturday, August 1. Commentary from the main cast, unreleased storylines, and behind-the-scenes making-of footage will be revealed.
